on Monday after
registering case an
MBBS doctor of
Multan on the charge
of disgracing the
deadbody of a woman
of Kamalia. According to FIR registered under section 297 PPC accused Dr Irfan Sheikh medical officer of a private hospital of Vehari Road Multan arrived Kamalia on Saturday night and digged the grave of a deceased woman Zaibun Nisa who had died two days ago.Complainant of this case Zafar Iqbal Sheikh(husband of deceased woman)of Ravi Town Kamalia informed that accused then laid with the deadbody of Zaibun Nisa.It added that when complainant and his family members reached graveyard on Sunday morning after Qul ceremony of the woman they saw that grave had been digged and accused was lying unconcious in it with the deadbody of the woman. It is to be mentioned that after failing in marrying to his lover cousin Zaibun Nisa,the 35 year old MBBS doctor of Multan's private hospital(Mukhtar Medical Centre) attempted to suicide at Kamalia. Dr Irfan Sheikh who is still under treatment(till the filing of this report) in Kamalia tehsel headquarter hospital told police that he was loving his deceased cousin but she was married to another person so he decided to not to marry forever.When he knew that she had died two days ago he decided to commit suicide so he took large quantity of intoxicating pills and laid with the deceased after digging her grave in Mahmood Bhatti graveyard situated opposite Kamalia telephone exchange. |

| Toba Tek Singh(apnapirmahal.com).18-11-2008A farmer was crushed to death by a speeding wagon at here on Monday.Deceased Munir Jat of chak 292 Gb was on his way to his farmalnd from his village chak 292 GB on Toba-Rajana road when wagon No.4155 LHO ranover his bicycle near Dabanwala canal bridge as a result he died on the spot.Rajana police have impounded the wagon but driver fled away after the accident against whom case has been registered. |
| Toba Tek Singh(apnapirmahal.com).18-11-2008Chuttiana police registered on Monday after six days a case against three persons including a woman on the charge of kidnapping for rape a twelve year old girl of chak 306 GB.Her father Khurshid informed police that his daughter Saba was on her way to religious seminary on November 11 morning when accused Liaqat Jat,Nasreen Sultan and unidentified car driver reached there by a car.They bundled her into their car and took her away to a deserted place where accused Liaqat attempted to rape her but in the meantime area people rushed to the place after listening alarm raised by the girl.Police were raiding for the arrest of accused persons. |

girl and laid with
her body in the
grave.When some
people saw the
digged grave in the
morning on Sunday
they informed police
and Kamalia city
police recovered out
the doctor in almost
unconcious
condition.He was
shifted to Kamalia
THQ hospital where
he was still in
unstable condition
till the filing of
this report however
he told police that
he was loving his
deceased cousin girl
of Fateh Pur(Kamalia)
locality but she was
married to another
person so he decided
not to marry
forever.When he knew
that she had died
two days ago he
decided to commit
suicide so he took
large quantity of
trinquilizer pills
and laid with the
deceased after
digging her grave in
Mahmood Bhatti
graveyard. When contacted a Kamalia city police official said that grave was again filled with earth and the family of deceased girl were not intrested to take action in this regard however police officials were consulting the legal branch whether an action be taken or not in this case. |

Maseeh said that
although government
had issued
notification
regarding fixation
of Rs 442 per 1000
bricks wages for the
kiln workers but in
Toba district 30,000
workers of more than
500 kilns were
paying just Rs 300
per 1000 bricks.They
claimed that kiln
owners not only use
the workers as
their"slaves" but
their women were
also sexually
harassed by the
owners.Due to
continuous work in
earth,most of the
workers were
suffering from
TB,Hepatitis,skin
and abfominal diseases but as they had no health cover under Social Security laws so the kiln owners openly refuse to provide them medical facilities,they further said.They blamed labour officer for patronising kiln owners instead of hearing the complaints of the workers.They warned that if the demands of workers were not accepted within two weeks,they will be forced to start a movement against the owners.Public meeting also passed many resolutions in which it was demanded to include representatives of workers in minimum wages board,to apply social security laws on kilns,to construct labour colonies for kiln workers and to arrange schooling of their children.A 34 member action committee was also formed to settle further line of action of the movement of kiln workers |

dacoit and billager
died on Thursday
afternoon in a
scuffle during a
dacoity attempt in
village chak 191 GB
Makhdooman.Three
dacoits intercepted
on gunpoint Shabbir
Ahmad who was on his
way to his farmland
from his villahe.He
showed resistence
and firing was
exchanged between
dacoits and the
deceased as a result
one of the dacoits
died on the spot
while Shabir was
severely
wounded.Other two
dacoits snatched
away cash of Rs
30,000,motorcycle
and a repeater gun
from injured Shabbir
however they did not
take away deadbody
of their
accopmlice.Deceased
Shabbir was shifted
to Rajana rural
hospital where he
died due to over
bleeding after two
hours. His relatives later staged a demonstration at Rajana Chowk and blocked traffic for half an hour and blamed that when deceased was brought to hospital there was no doctor on duty as a result Shabbir succumbed to death.They also blamed that police also reached much late due to which both dacoits managed to escape from the area. Rajana police said that deceased dacoit could not be identified till the filing of this report however deceased's family claimed that killed dacoit was known proclaimed offender Lala Sindhi and they also claimed that he was killed when other two dacoits started firing on deceased Shabbir over resistence. |
