Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)27-01-2012:The district administration has started registration of eunuchs for issuance of computerised national identity cards and inclusion of their names in electoral rolls. Talking to this scribe here on Wednesday, District Election Commissioner Abid Hussain said that eunuchs needed to approach Nadra centres in their areas so that processing of their applications could start without delay. He said that a separate category called shemale had been created in the gender column of the registration forms in compliance with the Supreme Court of Pakistan verdict.
He said that so far 16 eunuchs had approached his office out of them only one had already his CNIC while record of 15 others was given to Nadra team and as soon as their CNICs were prepared they would be registered as voters. On the occasion, District Social Welfare Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Irfan said that so far, 38 eunuchs whose record is available with the Toba Tek Singh administration have been registered for the CNICs and electoral rolls.
He said the process will continue to register the eunuchs as voters. On the occasion, eunuchs said they were thankful to the chief justice for recognising their problem and giving them an identity.
Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)27-01-2012:An ear and nose of a rickshaw driver were chopped by three people on suspicion of illicit relations at Mauza Kohal Khurd, Pirmahal. Tanveer Ahmad had allegedly developed illicit relations with a married woman of the family of Shabbir Ahmad, Allah Yar and Bismillah who intercepted him on Pirmahal-Rajana Road when he was carrying passengers. They thrashed him and allegedly chopped his nose and ear with knives. Tanveer was taken to Pirmahal Rural Health Centre from where he was referred to Toba DHQ Hospital. The police are conducting raids to arrest the accused

The court acquitted another accused Abbas giving him the benefit of the doubt. The prosecution said that the convict had killed Shahzadi over an old enmity a year ago.
Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)27-01-2012:Rajana police have so far allegedly failed to arrest its two sub-inspectors, an assistant sub-inspector and five constables in a house trespass case. On Wednesday, the police registered a case against SIs Alamdar and Asif Butt, ASI Ghulam Murtaza and five constables on the orders of an additional district and sessions judge. Khuda Dad Khan advocate in a petition alleged that the policemen illegally entered his house to arrest a proclaimed offender some days ago. He further alleged that the policemen also attacked and damaged his car when he was going to shift his ailing aunt to a hospital on the same day.

Addressing the protesters, trade union leaders warned the government of taking to the streets, if their demands were not met. They also staged a sit-in outside Fesco complex in all towns of the district.

Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)27-01-2012:Naveedan Bibi, in an application to the Gojra City police, stated that she worked as maid and had gone to work two months ago when her daughter Muqaddas disappeared from her house. She said that she submitted an application to the City police about her missing. She added her daughter reached home six days ago and informed that Zubaida and Iram, who were known to them, came to her house and took her somewhere on a pretext from where Khatore Ali Raza, Shahid and Jani, residents of Chak 304/JB, took her to the village and raped her for one month. She said that the accused later took her to a house in Faisalabad and gang-raped her for another month. She said that the accused wanted to take her to Iran, but she found an opportunity and escaped. She said that Gojra THQ Hospital had confirmed the rape. She said that the accused had again tried to kidnap her. When contacted, the Gojra City police said that they had received the application and started investigation
